About Hotleaf

As the original women’s camouflage company, we’ve always been in business to inspire and connect women with nature and design.

Since 2011, our company has connected women in over 6 countries to the outdoors through innovative, one-of-a-kind camouflage.

How it all Started

While working active duty in the military in 2010, Hotleaf Founder Rebecca Adams saw the need for women’s camouflage that represented the beauty and strength of capable women. Hotleaf was created based off of oak trees found in Knob Noster State Park in Missouri- less than 3 miles from the base where Rebecca served in the military.

“When I first got heavily involved with hunting and the outdoors, I saw there weren’t a lot of options for women’s outdoor products on the market,” Rebecca said. “ I remember being so excited to get my own outdoor gear and walking in the camouflage section of [a major outdoor retail store] and seeing nothing. It was really disappointing.” She wore a unisex camouflage pattern every day while on military duty and her significant other’s camouflage apparel in the field. It was as if women in camouflage didn’t even exist.

That’s when things started to change.

“I felt like an invisible potato sack in those clothes. Nothing fit me but I really wanted to go hunt and hike too so I just sucked it up. Eventually I got tired of feeling that way and that’s when I decided to take matters into my own hands and create my own camouflage. I was tired of being an afterthought in the outdoor industry and a tag along in the field. I was quite capable of holding my own, so to speak, and I wanted my own camouflage apparel.”

And with that, Hotleaf was born.
